I love to think about casting once I am deeply into the characters. I hold back in the beginning, mostly because the characters must form themselves. Once they have become a second language to me, I begin to hear them in my dreams, in music (lyrics become conversations between all my characters) then I can start to think about the dream cast.

It’s usually a happy coincidence to find someone who has the same name as you, but in Jaime Stickle’s case, it was a bit unsettling. She says she first learned about another Jamie Stickle on a job interview more than 20 years ago. In 2002, the body of a bartender named Jamie Stickle was found inside her burning vehicle in Pittsburgh. The other Jaime Stickle decided to create a podcast to tell the late Jaime Stickle’s story.
